http://igg.me/at/Woodies Woodies Bamboo Sunglasses, inspired by 1950's fashion, is running an indieGOGO campaign to crowdsource funding for the expansion of a new line of vintage sunglasses. The campaign, shot in Malibu California, will star Kendall Jenner, brand ambassador for Seventeen Magazine, Kim Kardashian’s sister. The ad also features model/spokesperson and up-and-coming actor, Aygemang Clay. The ad launched on April 25, 2013, in its efforts to raise money for the introduction of the new collection’s line of colors.
Currently the Woodies Sunglasses Collection are available Light Grain or Dark Grain, but the purpose in this campaign aims to raise capital to produce eight new colors: red, blue, black, green, grey, white, orange and pink. The vision of adding color to Woodies frames came from the movie Pleasantville, where the citizens of the story were first in black and white and eventually came to experience full colors throughout the movie. Cory Stout, owner of Woodies, says, “Like the people in the movie, Pleasantville,” and just like my TIKKR watch, I want to bring COLOR, LIFE and personality to Woodies Sunglasses so that my customers will have the option to match their favorite color to their individual fashion sense and express their best self.” Aygemang adds, “It’s important to always be inspired and this retro style is sure to do that. I can’t wait for the rest of the country to feel the vibe of this new brand.”

About Cory Stout:
Stout graduated from the University of Florida and is model, entrepreneur and the owner/creator of Woodies Sunglasses. As a young man, Stout worked with his father on 1950’s styled Woodie cars which inspired his passion to create the vintage styled glasses. Right out of college, Stout started his first international enterprise by launching the TIKKR watch brand. With a motto “Bored People are Boring”, and a successful start introducing just 2 colors, he expanded and produced a complete line of fashionable watches with 20 easy interchangeable color bands with two base colored faces to mix and match. Stout says, “The watches were designed with a color that represents every mood in order to keep the wearer energized. One day you can be in “The Limelight” while the next you might get a little “Plum Crazy.”
These concepts eventually inspired Stout to launch his own line of stylish, retro WoodiesSunglasses. When he launched the Woodies Bamboo Sunglass brand in 2012, they came in only two colors: light and dark grain. Stout’s vision of adding color to Woodies frames came from the movie Pleasantville, where the citizens of the story were first in black and white and eventually came to experience full colors throughout the movie. “Like the people in the movie, Pleasantville,” Stout says, “Like the people in the movie, Pleasantville,” and just like my TIKKR watch, I want to bring COLOR, LIFE and personality to WoodiesSunglasses so that my customers will have the option to match their favorite color to their individual fashion sense and express their best self.” For more information on WoodiesSunglasses, please visit :http://woodies.com and to invest in the WoodiesKickStarter opportunity, http://igg.me/at/Woodies
