A Little Bit of Background
Hello my name is Aygemang, pronounced (Aah-Jah-Mon). The "G" is silent. The origin of my name is from Ghana, meaning deliverer and conquer of nations named after Agyemang Prempeh II, the 14th king of the Ashanti empire. How's that for expectations? Thanks mom and dad! No big deal.
I am a professionally trained actor and model represented by Wilhelmina models, one of the largest and most successful talent agencies in the world. For acting I am represented by Innovative Artists.
I have worked with brands Nike, Under Armour, Superdry, Men's Wearhouse and more. I was also featured in a viral kickstarter campaign with celebrity Kendall Jenner.
I have appeared on HBO, Fox, and USA networks, as well as numerous nationwide commercials, including AT&T, Mercedes Benz, and McDonalds.
I have been lovingly, fearlessly, and actively pursuing my personal legend in the entertainment field for the past 7 years. It hasn't been a straight and narrow road however I am truly grateful for all the lessons and blessings along the way. I believe in life you will always be faced with a series of god ordained opportunities brilliantly disguised as problems and challenges.
My goal has been and will always be to improve as an artist. All of the external achievements and accolades come from that core belief. We must always seek to inspire and/or be inspired. I am an artist and the world is my canvas.
It's great to be a Florida Gator - Go Gators! Fresh out of college, I started Top of the Line Tickets and Entertainment, a high cash-flow discount/premium e-commerce start-up inspired by my father's entrepreneurial passion.
Next I was a corporate trainer with Island Sky corporation (water making machines). I traveled across Asia, the Middle East, and South America for a global initiative to attract, retain, and educate our clients.
Although I appreciated my experiences, I was committing a spiritual suicide. It dawned on me that I wanted a meaningful career change, and I began to pursue my artistic talents. I bought a DSLR camera, enrolled in digital video classes, visited art galleries, and started doing photo shoots. Organically my modeling/acting career began to take off.
Currently
I made my professional stage debut as the lead role in the critically acclaimed southeastern premiere of the play The Royale, portraying character Jay "The Sport" Jackson. The Royale is inspired by the life of Jack Johnson, the first African American heavyweight boxing champion of the world. I was awarded best actor in a play at the 41st Annual Carbonell Awards. The Carbonell Awards are South Florida's version of the Tony's. I also earned a Silver Palm Award for Outstanding New Talent. The Silver Palm Awards are annual awards recognizing outstanding contribution to South Florida Theatre.
I am committed to a lifestyle of health and fitness, spending time with family, Crossfit, basketball, football, yoga, golf, training, traveling, reading, volunteering, and attending major sporting events and concerts.
